Explanation

The Date Picker can be found in date fields and in date columns as well as in date fields in the search dialog. You open the Date Picker by double clicking in the field or column. For date-time fields and date-time columns the double click opens both a Date Picker and a Time Picker.

Procedure

Double click in a date field or a table cell containing a date value to open the Date Picker. To open Date Picker with Time Picker double click in a date field or a table cell containing a date and time value. Select a value from the calendar or click Today button to update the field/cell. Use the arrow buttons in the Time Picker to update the time in the field/cell.

You can also use the keyboard to open the drop-down. Once the field/column is focused, press ALT + Arrow Down to open it.

Following keyboard accelerators can be used when the drop-down is open:

Available accelerator keys for Date Picker:
Tab  Switches focus between the Date Picker and the Time Picker
Enter Applies the changes and closes the calendar control if there is no Time Picker
KeyRight Forward one day
KeyLeft Back one day
KeyDown Forward one week
KeyUp Back one month
Home Move to the first of the month
End Move to the last of the month

 

Available accelerator keys for Time Picker:
Tab  Switches focus between the Date Picker and the Time Picker
Enter Applies the changes
KeyRight Move focus to the left
KeyLeft Move focus to the right
KeyDown Decrease time
KeyUp Increase time

 

Show Week numbers in Date Picker

Do the following to show week numbers in the Date Picker:

  1. To open Options dialog click on the drop-down menu located to the right of Enterprise Application Search window and select Options..., or press Alt key to open the File menu and select Options... from the Tools drop-down menu.
  2. Open the Regional Settings tab and check the Show Calendar Week Numbers check box.
  3. Click OK button to save the changes. This setting is personal and stored in your user profile.
