This lesson covers the definition of basic data required for scheduling activities (work orders) in the Scheduling Engine.
Before taking this lesson, the employee must be set up in IFS Human Resources. The employee must be connected to the company that is to be scheduled, employed within the scheduling period, connected to a valid working hour schedule, set up as a maintenance employee and assigned to a valid maintenance organization and craft. Valid geo-coordinates (using virtual map positions) must be connected to the employee's person address and to the company address of the employee.

This lesson covers the definition of scheduling broadcasts and datasets. Datasets are used to transfer data to the Scheduling Engine. Broadcasts are used to tell the Scheduling Engine how and when an allocation plan is to be returned to IFS Applications, and how to manage the interface between the scheduling system and IFS Applications.
Before taking this lesson, you should have completed the 360 Scheduling Basic Data Definitions lesson.
