Entering Summary Application Values—Exercises
Required Data
Enter Tax Codes on Sub Contract
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
Note: In order to define tax codes to contract items, the sub contract
must have a VAT (non Sales Tax) supplier.
- Define at least two tax codes for some of the contract items in the sub contract.

Creating Valuation
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
Note: Before creating the valuation, make sure
that the Item Level Certificate check box in
Sub
Contract/Defaults tab is not selected for the sub contract you are
working on.
- Create a sub contract valuation.

Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to enter the
summary application values for the valuation and to change the status of the
valuation to Application Received.

Entering Summary Application Values
- Open
the
Sub Contract Valuation window
and query for the valuation.
- Enter 2 in the Application Number field.
- Click the
Sub Contract Valuation/General tab, enter the
current date in the Application Date and Application Received Date fields.
- Go to the
Sub Contract Valuation/Total Valuation tab.
- Enter values in the Work Value Applied For and Stored Material
Applied For fields for the two tax codes you entered in the sub
contract.
- Save the records (F12).
Receiving Application
- Open
the
Sub Contract Valuation window.
- Query for the valuation
from the previous exercise.
- Right-click on the header and click Status,
then click Receive Application. The value
in the Status field changes to Application Received.
