Entering Historical Life Data—Exercises

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to enter operational start values for new serials having a maintenance program. Start values are essential for phasing in a maintenance program according to the actual operational status of the individual serial.

Start Values

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to enter start values on your A/C to make sure that the maintenance plan will start in phase with the actual operative status of the A/C.

Windows:
Component Life

  1. Open the Component Life window.
  2. Query (F3) for your A/C, Part Number X747-900 and Serial Number nX20000.
  3. Click the Operational Log tab.
  4. Operational parameters of the A/C are shown, but with no value (initialized to zero).
  5. Specify values according to this table, and save the information:
Oper Param Value After overhaul Value Total Value This Year Value Last Year
    FHR 20 120 120 0
    FCYC 10 60 60 0
  6. Click the Interval Maint tab.
  7. We suppose that no maintenance has been done on your A/C before, therefore let Value At Maintenance remain zero. Lowest Value indicates when the first maintenance is planned to take place. Data for other operational parameters than the primary, are listed in the lower part of the window.
