Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to show how to synchronize data between your server and local database.

Windows:
File Menu

Synchronize- Creating a New Local Database

  1. On the File Menu click Synchronize. The Synchronization Wizard will appear.
  2. Select Create a new local database.
  3. Select New and browse to the desktop, name your local database as SMKTrainingDB.mdb and save type as Access files and save.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the Race database you wish to synchronize with and click Next.
  6. Select All data and select the Include external data and include documents check boxes.
  7. Click Start to begin synchronization.
  8. You will get a message once synchronization is finished successfully.

Synchronize - An Existing Local Database

  1. On the File Menu click Synchronize. The Synchronization Wizard will appear.
  2. Select Synchronize to an existing local database.
  3. Browse to the desktop to find the database you created earlier (SMKTrainingDB.mdb) and select Open.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the Race database you wish to synchronize with and click Next.
  6. Select the Include external data and Include documents check boxes.
  7. Click Start to begin synchronization.
  8. You will get a message once synchronization is finished successfully.
