Course Description for IFS Sales & Marketing Administrator—Intermediate

This course will introduce you to several features of the IFS Sales & Marketing Administrator that complement features covered in the Basic course. You will learn how to set up default and dependency values and upload language data. You will also learn how to set up advanced selections to be run in IFS Sales and Marketing Client.

Managing Definitions

This chapter consists of one exercise that outline some additional functions. You will learn how to change table and field properties, to specify and check default values, to import language files and to integrate settings with Outlook.

Synchronization 

This chapter consists of two lessons. The first explains how to synchronize server database and local databases. You will learn how to create a local copy of the server database, which allows you to work offline with your customer information. The trainer should perform the synchronization exercise and create a local copy of the RACE database for each student, prior to commencement of the training.

The second lesson explains how to use the Discrepancy Utility to reconcile discrepancies that may occur during synchronization.
