Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to demonstrate the basic functionality for options, allowing you to add information to single and multiple choice fields

Edit the Name of a Category

  1. Select Options on the icon list.
  2. In the Categories pane, select a category and double click. You can also select a category, right-click and then click Category properties.
  3. Change the name of the category and click OK.

Add an Option to a Category

  1. Select the category Account-Country in the Categories pane.
  2. Click New Ctrl + N option. You can also select New on the Edit menu.
  3. Enter India as the description and 0 (zero) as the sort order. If applicable, you can change the predefined option key.
  4. Click OK and verify that India appears in the Option List pane.

Note: If you want to print the values for an option, right-click on the Option Properties pane and select Print.

Edit an Option

  1. Select the category Account-Country , and select India as the option you want to edit in the Option List pane.
  2. Edit the properties under Option properties to the right by changing the description to INDIA.
  3. Click anywhere in the Option List pane to confirm the changes.

Deleting an Option

  1. Select a category, and select the option you want to delete in the Option List pane.

Note: You can select two or more options if they are next to each other by holding down the left mouse button and dragging.

  1. Click Delete. You can also select Delete on the Edit menu.
  2. Click Yes on the confirmation message that appears.
