Introduction to Managing Options—Exercises
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to
demonstrate the basic functionality for options, allowing you to add information
to single and multiple choice fields
Windows:
Sales and Marketing
Administrator main window
Edit the Name of a Category
- Select Options on the icon list.

In the
Categories pane, select a
category and double click. You can also select a category, right-click and
then click
Category properties.
- Change the name of
the category and click OK.
Add an Option to a Category
- Select the category Account-Country in the
Categories
pane.

Click New Ctrl + N option. You can also select
New on the Edit menu.
- Enter
India as the description and 0 (zero) as the sort order. If applicable, you can change the predefined
option key.
- Click OK and verify that
India appears in the Option List pane.
Note: If you want to print the values for an
option, right-click on the Option Properties pane and select
Print.
Edit an Option
- Select the category Account-Country , and select
India as the option you want
to edit in the Option List pane.
- Edit the properties under Option properties
to the right by changing the description to INDIA.

Click anywhere in the Option List
pane to
confirm the changes.
Deleting an Option
- Select a category, and select the option you want
to delete in the Option List pane.
Note:
You can select
two or more options if they are next to each other by holding down the left
mouse button and dragging.
- Click
Delete. You can also select Delete on the Edit
menu.
- Click Yes on the confirmation message that
appears.
