Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create an application for payment for a sales contract.

Creating Applications for Payment

 

Note: An application for payment can be created once the sales contract has been awarded and is in either the Awarded, Under Review, Active or Completed status.

 

Creating an Application from the Sales Contract window or the Sales Contracts window.

  1. Open the Sales Contract window or the Sales Contracts window and query for your sales contract.

  2. Right click and click the Create Application menu option.

  3. In the Application For Payment window that opens, observe that the information from the sales contract will be on the created application. The current date will be taken as the Application Date.

  4. Save the information.

Creating an Application from the Application For Payment window.

  1. Open the Application For Payment window.

  2. Click New to create a new application.

  3. In the Sales Contract No field query for the sales contract to which you want to create an application for payment.

  4. Observe that the sales contract information is updated automatically. The current date will be given as the Application Date.

  5. Save the information.

Note that there should be a valid revenue activity for the sales contract as well as valid report codes in the project and the contract, to be able to create an application for payment.
