Discount Groups—Basic Data and Requirements Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with the basic functionality of creating discount groups.

Steps: To complete this exercise, complete the following steps in the sequence shown.

IFS Racing works with discount groups for their cars. They are using an order value based discount group for the Racing car, an order weight based discount group for the Street car, and an order volume based discount group for the Ferrari car.

  1. Select New (F5).
  2. Enter XXOV as the discount group.
  3. Enter XX Order Value Group as the description.
  4. Select Order value as the discount code.
  5. Select Save (F12).
  6. Select New(F5).
  7. Enter XXOW as the discount group.
  8. Enter XX Order Weight Group as the description.
  9. Select Order weight as the discount code
  10. Select Save (F12).
  11. Select New (F5).
  12. Enter XXOO as the discount group.
  13. Enter XX Order Volume Group as the description.
  14. Select Order volume as the discount code.
  15. Select Save (F12).
  16. Select XXOV in the Discount Group field.
  17. Select a row in the lower part of the window and select New (F5).
  18. Enter the order value and discount values from the above table in the Order Total and Discount % fields.
  19. Select Save (F12).
  20. Select XXOW in the Discount Group field.
  21. Select a row in the lower part of the window and select New (F5).
  22. Enter the order weight and discount values from the above table in the Order Total and Discount % fields.
  23. Select Save (F12).
  24. Select XXOW in the Discount Group field.
  25. Select a row in the lower part of the window and select New (F5).
  26. Enter the order volume and discount values from the above table in the Order Total and Discount % fields.
  27. Select Save (F12).
