IFS can provide a connection between a company's web page and IFS/Recruitment. This connection makes it possible for applicants to apply for a job directly from an advertisement on a web page and enter information directly into a database. This results in effective document handling and a minimum of administrative work for the recruitment officer.
More information about this functionality is available at the IFS R&D Strategic HR support department.
When using the Matching Engine to create an initial candidate list, make sure that the participants delete the candidates they do not recognize as their own. Otherwise, they might use each other's candidates.
If you are not familiar with the Racing database, it could be of interest for you to check the users and position structure. Make sure that each user is the supervisor of several employees. For instance, participant A, being user 1500 Alain, will work with the employees identified by the employee numbers starting with 15.
You should also point out that all entered basic data need to start with the participant's initials.

To be able to publish a job on an internal or external web, you need to set up a few things in the Windows/Centura client.
If you want to publish the job opportunity on the intranet, you must register Internal Job Posting as the recruitment method. You must also view the details of this method by right-clicking and selecting Internal Job Posting as the recruitment type. You also need to define the posting media, e.g., Intranet. Make sure that the system date is within the date interval. If it is not, the job opportunity will not be displayed on the web.
If the job opportunity is to be advertised on an external web interface, follow the steps described above, except that you need to register External Job Posting as the recruitment method and Internet as the posting media.
