Basic Data Setup

Main Exercises

Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to show how to evaluate the nominated candidates and how to appoint the selected one. Also included is an exercise on how to transfer applicant information to the employee files.

Evaluate Job Candidatess

  1. Register, confirm, and approve a personnel requisition. Enter some recommended selection processes, two internal candidates, and two external candidates in the corresponding tabs in the Personnel Requisition window. Include the requisition in a Job Opportunity Advertisement window.
  2. Open the Evaluation Process window and select your personnel requisition with a query.
  3. Open the Per Candidates tab. Right-click and click Get Recommended Selection Process.
  4. Enter the selection results for your candidates and save the information.
  5. Select one of your candidates. Right-click and click Decline Job Candidate.
  6. View the result in the Per Selection Process tab.

View Results from Evaluation Process

    Evaluation Process per Selection Process and populate the window.
  1. Select your requisition and view the information..
  2. Evaluation Process per Job Candidate and populate the window.
  3. Select your requisition and view the information..

Appoint Internal Candidate

  1. Open the Personnel Requisition window and select your requisition with a query.
  2. Open the Job Candidates tab and select one of your internal candidates. Right-click and then click Appoint Candidate.
  3. Enter an employment type in the dialog menu, and change starting and ending date, if desired. Then click OK.
  4. Select one of the options of how to handle the new position and click OK.
  5. Specify the assignment type for the new position and click Finish. If you have an old position, you should also set an end date for this position. 

Appoint External Candidate

  1. Open the Personnel Requisition window and select your requisition with a query.
  2. Open the Job Candidates tab and select one of your external candidates. Right-click and then click Appoint Candidate.
  3. Enter an employment type in the dialog menu, and change starting and ending date, if desired. Then click OK.
  4. Employee. The Employee Wizardd opens.
  5. Click Create from Appointed Candidate, and then click Next.
  6. Specify an employee number and a person ID.
  7. Continue to fill in the rest of the wizard with optional information.

Update Status

    Applicants and populate the window.
  1. Change the status by right-clicking and then clicking Pooled or Declined for your candidates.
  2. Open the Personnel Requisition window and view the status. If it is not already set to Fulfilled, do so now.
  3. Change the job opportunity advertisement status to Obsolete.
