Basic Data Setup

Recruitment Standard – Action List

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data required for running this particular functionality.

Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to enter additional information for an applicant and to nominate job candidates using the matching engine.

Receive Application Letter

  1. Create a personnel requisition to recruit a human resources officer. Include the requisition in a job opportunity advertisement.
  2. Open the Applicant window, and enter a new applicant whose educational background is Bachelor – Human Resources.
  3. Create a new record in the Applied Requisition tab, and enter your job opportunity reference number and personnel requisition number. 
  4. Save the information.
  5. Enter information in the rest of the tabs.
  6. Repeat the steps for a second applicant.

Note: The add-on functionality consists of the Merits, Personality, and Physical tabs.

Select Job Candidate with Matching Engine

  1. Open the Personnel Requisition window and select your requisition.
  2. Open the Job Candidates tab. Right-click and then click Generate Initial Candidate List.
  3. Indicate that you want to create a candidate list with external applicants.
  4. Clear From Applicants Applied Jobs and indicate that you want to append the result to the existing list. Click OK.
  5. Open the Matching Criteria tab. Select Education as the criterion (clear the rest of the criteria) and then click Proceed.
  6. The initial candidate list will be entered in the Personnel Requisition/Job Candidates tab.
  7. Applicants other than the ones applying for your job opportunity will also be selected if they have the education required for the job. Delete the applicants you do not recognize as your own.

View Applicant Information

  1. Open the Job Candidates window and select your requisition with a query.
  2. Select one of your external job candidates.
  3. Place the cursor in the Candidate ID field and press Zoom (Shift + F9). The Applicant window will open.
  4. View the information.

Create Job Candidate Action List

  1. Open the Personnel Requisition window and select your requisition.
  2. Select one of your candidates. Then right-click and click Open Candidate Action List.
  3. Enter an action list for the candidate.
  4. Save the information.
