Plan and Schedule Project

This chapter covers how to plan and schedule a project plan using the scheduling calculation in IFS/Project. Alternatively the project can be exported and imported to the third party project planning tools Microsoft Project, Primavera Project Planner (P3) or Primavera Project Management Module (P5). You can build or update your project plan with the help of these project planning tools.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lessons in this chapter, you should have basic knowledge about how to work with IFS Applications. You also need to be familiar with the project planning tools Microsoft Project and/or P3 and/or P5.

Execute Project Miscellaneous Demand

This chapter covers how to execute project miscellaneous demand by procurement through dynamic order processing.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lessons in this chapter, you should have basic knowledge about how to work with IFS Applications. You also need to be familiar with functionality in IFS/Dynamic Order Processing.

Chapter Length

The estimated time to complete this chapter is 1 hour.

This chapter is designed primarily for project managers and project members.

Execute Activity

This chapter covers some of the more advanced processes that occur while executing activities. This chapter includes how project access effects project reporting. You will see how to invoice a project through a customer order. In addition, this chapter will cover how used and actual costs and revenues are retrieved to the project.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lessons in this chapter, you should have basic knowledge about how to work with IFS Applications. You also need to be familiar with functionality in IFS/Purchasing, IFS/Inventory, IFS/Project Delivery, IFS/Project Reporting, IFS/Customer Order, IFS/Invoicing, IFS/Accounting Rules or IFS/General Ledger, depending on which lessons you wish to do in this chapter.
