Create Project Forecast

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercises below.

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to create a new snapshot for the project forecast, disconnect the snapshot and connect an existing snapshot to a project forecast.

Creating a New Snapshot

1. Open the Project Forecasts window and query for your project forecast.
2. In the header, right click and select the Snapshot menu option and then click Create.
3. Select the Snapshot with Details option, in the Create Snapshot Dialog, and click OK.

Disconnecting Snapshot

1. Open the Project Forecasts window and query for your project forecast.
2. Select the row, right-click and click Snapshot and then click Disconnect. Click YES.

Connecting to Existing Snapshot

1. Open the Project Forecasts window and query for your project forecast.
2. Select the row, right-click and click Snapshot and then click Connect.
3. Use the List to select a value for the Number field. Click OK. The dialog box closes.
4. Click OK in the Connect Snapshot dialog box.
