Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create a progress template and define its progress template steps.

Entering Progress Templates

  1. Create a new record.
  2. Enter a project progress template ID beginning with XX, substituting XX with your initials.
  3. Enter an appropriate template description.
  4. In the table, create a new record for each template step you enter.
  5. Enter some progress template steps, each with a description and a corresponding progress percentage, for example:
Step Description Progress
10 When all requirements are in place 10%
20 Initial design is copied or created from scratch 30%
30 When design is approved by you 60%
40 When design is approved by involved departments 80%
50 When final approval is given 100%
  1. Save your changes.
  2. Note that the relative progress of each step is calculated for you.
