Basic Data Setup
Company Employees
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how
to set
up employees.
Windows:
Company/Employees
- Query for your desired company, for example Company 10.
- To add an employee, enter an employee number, and enter the desired person
ID or select it
from the List of Values. For example,
you might add the person ID connected to
your user as an employee of Company 10.
- Save your changes.
General exercise for Company
Setup
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how
to create a
project team and define its team members.
Windows:
Project Team
Project Team//Team Members
- Open the
Project Team window and create a new record.
- Enter a team ID beginning with XX, substituting XX with your initials.
- Enter a team name.
- If your team needs access to all new projects, select the Access to New
Projects check box.
- Click the Team Members tab and create a new record.
- Enter the company ID where the team member you want to add is employed or select it
from the List of Values, e.g.,
Company
10.
- Enter the employee number of the employee whom you want to include in your project
team or select it
from the List of Values.
You can also enter the wildcard % if all employees of this company
should be included in the project team.
- If you want to add more team members, repeat steps 5–7.
- Save your changes.
