Project Transactions—Exercises
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to edit an
existing project transaction.
Windows:
Project Transactions
- Open the
Project Transactions window and populate it
(F2).
- Add a comment in the Internal Comments field.
- Change the price in the Internal Price field.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to see how
entering a transaction in the
Project
Transactions window affects what is shown in the
Project Time Registration
window.
Windows:

Project Time Registration
- Open the
Project
Transactions window.
- Create a new record (F5).
- In the Emp No field, select an employee number from the List of
Values.
- In the Short Name field, select a short name from the List of
Values.
- In the Report Code field, select a report code of type Time from
the List of Values.
- Enter a value (number of hours) in the Internal Quantity field.
- Enter a value in the Internal Price field (if the internal price is not predefined and thereby
retrieved automatically).
- In the Sales Quantity field, enter a sales quantity (same as
internal quantity).
- Select a currency code and currency type in the respective fields.
- Enter a value in the Sales Price field (if the sales price is not predefined and thereby
retrieved automatically).
- Save the information.
- Open the
Project Time Registration window.
- Query for the hours that you just registered, using the same data
as you entered before.
- Verify that the time you registered is visible in the
Project Time
Registration window.
