Define Overheads

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to define overheads which can be used in time reporting allocation.

Windows:
Overhead Definitions window.

  1. Open the Overhead Definitions window. 
  2. Create a new record. 
  3. Enter the identity and a description for the overhead.
  4. Select the overhead type and save the information while the Available check box is selected.

Note: If you do not want the overhead to be available for overhead rules do not select the Available check box. 
If required to follow up the cost on an activity enter the activity with relevant code part. You can also select the required activity from the List of Values.

Register Overhead Criteria

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to register the overhead criteria identified within the company.

Windows:
Overhead Criteria window.

  1. Open the Overhead Criteria window. 
  2. Create a new record. 
  3. Enter the criteria and the description for the overhead criteria. Valid criteria can be selected from the List of Values.
  4. Enter the evaluation order and save the information while Available check box is selected.

Note If the Available checkbox is selected the particular criteria is possible to be updated when a new rule is entered or an existing rule is updated.
If the criteria is a property, the Property check box will be selected by default.

Define Overhead Rules

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to define overhead rules.

Windows:
Overhead Rules window.

  1. Open the Overhead Rules window. 
  2. Create a rule with the relevant values in the upper table. 
  3. Select the created rule created and enter the relevant overheads with the value and validity in the lower table.
