Purchase Requisition

This chapter outlines when to use the purchase requisition, and how to enter a purchase requisition for inventory, non-inventory, and no-number parts. The purchase requisition in its context is also explained, as well as an explanation of how to release and convert a purchase requisition into a purchase order or into a request for order quotation. Further this chapter outlines how requisitions for express orders are entered and processed. Also quick entry of supplier in requisition is explained, as well as supplier split.

This chapter outlines how to compare order quotations and either reject or approve them. The chapter also addresses how to quickly enter suppliers and parts for purchase orders, handle revisions, and add alternate purchase parts. In addition, the chapter provides information on how to process advance exchange parts for external repair orders.

Condition Codes in Procurement

This chapter provides an overview of using condition codes throughout the procurement flow, including purchase requisitions, order quotations, purchase orders, receiving purchase order arrivals, inspecting, condition code pricing and scrapping and returning parts with condition codes enabled.

Price Management

This chapter outlines the pricing elements within procurement. The priority order for deciding price, discount, and additional cost on the purchase order are explained, as are the setup and use of price lists. In addition, the setup and entry of supplier agreements is described as well as how to enter parts and assortments on the supplier agreement. Finally, step pricing, price retrieval from a supplier agreement, and the creation supplier agreement releases are addressed. You also will learn how to run the consolidated price calculation to achieve better prices based on the total ordered quantity.
