Entering Supplier Schedule Agreement—Exercises

IMPORTANT
It is extremely important that you set up and work within your own site to maintain your data integrity. If you work within any other site, you will compromise your own exercise data as well as the data of other students. Predictable exercise results require that your data be isolated in your own site.

Basic Data Setup

Supplier

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create a supplier to be used in the main exercise.

Windows:
Supplier

  1. Open the Supplier window, and search for Supplier 5000.
  2. Right-click and then click Copy Supplier to create your new customer, XX5000. XX represents your initials.

Purchase/Inventory/Sales part

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create the part data entries that are necessary for the supplier schedules functionality.

Windows:
New Part Assistant

  1. Open the New Part Assistant.
  2. Create XX–58–401 as a purchased, inventory, and sales part. Use Supplier XX5000.

Approver

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with the required data that is used in the exercises below.

Windows:
Supplier Schedules Basic Data/Approver

  1. Open the Supplier Schedules Basic Data window, and click the Approver tab.
  2. Enter an approver.

Tolerance Template

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create a tolerance template.

Windows:
Supplier Schedules Basic Data/Tolerance Template.

  1. Open the Supplier Schedules Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Tolerance Template tab.
  3. Create tolerance template XXTT values as shown in the table below.

Schedule Line Type

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create schedule line types.

Windows:
Supplier Schedules Basic Data/Schedule Line Type.

  1. Open the Supplier Schedules Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Schedule Line Type tab.
  3. Create a new line, and enter values according to the below table.

Schedule Template

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create a Schedule Template.

Windows:
Supplier Schedules Basic Data/Schedule Template.

  1. Open the Schedule Template tab and create a new schedule template, XXSCH.
  2. Open a new line, and enter the values shown in the table below.

Inventory Part

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with the required data that is used in the exercises below.

  1. Open the Inventory Part window, and click the Planning Data tab.
  2. Query for your part used for schedules.
  3. Set the supply type to Schedule. Use planning method A if you receive a message.

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with the required data that is used in the exercises below.

  1. Open the Purchase Order window, and create a new record.
  2. Create a purchase order for Supplier XX5000.

Main Exercises

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create a supplier schedule agreement.

Entering Supplier Schedule Agreement

  1. Open the Supplier Schedule Agreement window, and click New.
  2. Enter the supplier schedule agreement header by entering XXAGR in the Agreement ID field and then entering your supplier ID. Save your changes.
  3. Review the default values that are created in the Agreement Defaults tabs.
  4. Under Workflow Options, in the Schedule Generation list, click Plan.
  5. Connect your schedule template to the agreement by using List of Values in the Template field under the Plan Options and Call-off Options.
  6. Click the Parts tab, create a new line, and enter your part ,XX–58–401. Enter your approver ID. Save your changes.

Entering Supplier Schedule Agreement Part

  1. Open the Supplier Schedule Agreement Part window.
  2. Query for the newly created agreement, XXAGR.
  3. Click the Agreement Orders tab, and create a new line.
  4. Enter today's date as the start date, and connect the purchase order created for schedules.
  5. Right-click and then click Validate to validate the agreement.
  6. In the header portion of the Supplier Schedule Agreement window, right-click and then click Activate to activate the agreement.
