Releasing a Maintenance Order—Exercises
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to release
a maintenance order. Additional steps exist when working with maintenance orders
having the Execution Logic Structure distribution type.
Windows:
Maintenance Order
- Open the Maintenance Order window and query (F3) for your
maintenance order.
- Right-click, point to Status, and then click Release. The
Release Maintenance Order dialog box opens.
- Enter a release date if the release date is to be a date before the system
date.
- If standard sign off requirements have changed, the check box with this
name will be selected. To update requirements, select the Update Sign Off
Requirements check box.
- If a snapshot of the maintenance order is to be taken at this stage, select
the Create Snapshot of Maintenance Order check box.
- Enter a description of the snapshot.
- Click OK.
- Verify that the status of the maintenance order has changed in the Status
field.
For maintenance orders with the Execution Logic Structure distribution
type:
- To view the created work order, right-click, and then click Work Order
Execution Logic. The Work Order Execution Logic window opens
with the work order structure that was created for the ELS.
