NATO Commercial and Government Entities—Key Exercise
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to define your own
NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE), and connect a valid object to the
NCAGE.
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to
create an NCAGE for the manufacturer General Electric.

Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following
steps.
- Open the NATO Commercial and Government Entities window.
- Create a new record specifying the NCAGE code n0000.
- Enter the NCAGE description.
- If the NCAGE itself is non-unique, enter the country
code. You can use the List of Values
(F8).
- If this is an American NCAGE, check the US Entity field.
- If required, enter text in the Information field.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to connect a manufacturer to your created NCAGE.

Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following
steps.
- Open the Manufacturers
window.
- Create a new manufacturer specifying the identity nGE and
the name General
Electric.
- Save the information (F12)
- Select the manufacturer and then click the Attachments panel.
- Click NATO Commercial and Government Entity.
- Right-click
on the field and then click New. The New NATO Commercial and
Government Entity dialog box opens.
- Enter your NCAGE ID.
- Click OK.
- To verify, right-click on the connected NCAGE and then click NATO
Commercial and Government Entity.
- Click the
Connected Objects tab, and check
whether the
manufacturer has been connected correctly.
