Course Description for Repetitive Manufacturing.

This course will explain how to use production schedules within IFS Applications. Production Schedules are used for parts that are produced continuously or in a very repetitive way.

The estimated time to complete this course is 14 hours.

Target Audience

This course was designed primarily for application consultants within manufacturing and for those how are working with scheduling repetitive production within a manufacturing environment.

Basic Data and Requirements

This chapter gives an overview of the basic data that is needed for production schedules.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lesson in this chapter, you should have completed a basic navigation course in IFS Applications, have basic knowledge about Inventory Part and have completed the Manufacturing Standard course.

 

You also need to have your own site (or be able to set up your own site) to be able to complete the exercises.

The estimated time to complete this chapter is 2-4 hours.

Target Audience

This chapter was designed primarily for people that work with setting up Basic Data for a environment.

 

Production Schedules

This chapter describes how to define and maintain production schedules. There are also some extended exercises that describe how to reverse production reporting and how to handle serialized production within a production line.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lessons in this chapter, you should have completed Basic Data and Requirements chapter. To be able to do the exercises you need to have done the exercises in Basic Data and Requirements chapter.

 

It' s recommended that the Production Schedule Reporting lesson is completed before starting with the extended exercises.

The estimated time to complete this chapter is 5-8 hours.

Target Audience

This chapter was designed primarily for people that work with planning and creating production schedules for a production line.

 

Production Schedule Reporting

This chapter describes how production and scrap is reported for a production schedule. It will also teach you how to use reportpoints, backflushing and superbackflushing when reporting production.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lessons in this chapter, you should have completed Basic Data and Requirements chapter and Production Schedules chapter. The extended lessons and exercises in the Production Schedules chapter is not needed for this chapter.

The estimated time to complete this chapter is 4-6 hours.

This chapter was designed primarily for people that work with production reporting for production schedules.
