Generate Production Schedules Manually

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to generate production schedules manually for a production line.

Generate an Even Production Schedule

Windows:
Production Schedule by Line

  1. Open Production Schedule by Line window. Query for Production Line 900, production line for rims.
  2. Right-click and then click Generate Line Schedule
  3. Select the values shown in the table below.
 Field Value
Part No: 61–900
Schedule Generation Option Generate schedule in date range for start and end quantities, or use step quantity
Date Interval From Date = today

To Date = today + 14 days

Frequency in Days = 1

Schedule Quantity Starting Quantity = 10

4. Click OK.

Generate an Increasing Production Schedule

Windows:
Production Schedule by Line

  1. Open Production Schedule by Line window. Query for Production Line 900, production line for rims.
  2. Right-click and then click Generate Line Schedule.
  3. Select the values shown in the table below.

Schedule Generation Option Generate schedule in date range for start and end quantities, or use step quantity
Date Interval From date = today

To date = today + 14 days

Frequency In Days = 2

Check Distribute Within Day 

Distribution Method = Within Period

Frequency in Minutes = 320

 

Schedule Quantity Starting Quantity = 10

Step Quantity = 1

4. Click OK, and analyze the results (note the dates and quantity per date/schedule).

  1. Open Production Schedule by Line window. Query for Production Line 900, production line for rims.
  2. Right-click and then click Generate Line Schedule.
  3. Select the values shown in the table below.
