Basic Data Setup

Create Horizon ID

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to set up the basic data required for a horizon ID.

Windows:
Manufacturing Standard Basic Data

  1. Open the Manufacturing Standard Basic Data window, and click the Schedule Horizon tab.
  2. Create a new record, and enter the information shown in the table below.

4.Save the record.

Create Inventory Locations for a Production Line

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to set up inventory locations that can be used for production lines.

Windows:
Inventory Locations

  1. Open the Inventory Locations window.
  2. Create two new records, and enter the information shown in the table below.

Choose a location group where the inventory location type is Picking.

Create an Inventory Part

Purpose: The purpose is this exercise is to show you how to create an inventory part that will be used by a production line.

Windows:
Inventory Part

  1. Create a new inventory part for your site, and enter the information shown in the table below.

2.Save the record.

Create a Production Line

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create a production line.

Windows:
Production Line

  1. Open the Production Line window.
  2. Create a new record, and name the production line 900/Production line for rims.
  3. In the Part tab, add Part 61–900.
  4. Add your inbound location (RLI) and outbound location (RLO) by selecting the values in Location Usage.
