Viewing Shop Order Requisitions Created by Reordering Inventory—Extended Exercises

Basic Data Setup

Create Shop Order Requisitions by Reordering Inventory

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create shop order requisitions from Reorder Point.

  1. Create shop order requisitions through the reordering inventory processes. Make sure at least one of the requisitions is for a part that uses planning method B, and at least one uses planning method C.

General exercise for Reordering Inventory

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to recognize shop order requisitions created through the reordering inventory process.

Shop Order Requisitions

A manufactured part is planned through the reordering inventory process. The person responsible for planning the part had the reordering inventory process create shop order requisitions. You need to identify the shop order requisitions created by the reordering process.

Viewing Shop Order Requisitions Created by Reordering Inventory

  1. Open the Shop Order Requisitions window.
  2. Query, entering or clicking Reordering Point in the Type list.
  3. Shop order requisitions created by the reordering inventory process will be displayed.

Note: If you see no records created by the reordering inventory process, do not run the reordering process on site 1. Instead, perform the Basic Data Setup exercise (Create Shop Order Requisitions by Reordering Inventory) and retry using your site.
