Main Exercises

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to show you how to enter the basic data needed for the part main group and standard name used for a part.

Windows:

Enter Part Main Group and Standard Name

1. Click the Standard Names tab.
2. Enter a standard name. The standard name ID appears automatically when you save the record.
3. Enter language-dependent standard names.
4. Click the Part Main Group tab.
5. Create a part main group. Use an appropriate alphanumeric value, and enter a description for the group.

Note: If you try to use an alphanumeric value that is already used, an error message appears indicating that the engineering part main group already exists.
