Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to use the ABC classification functionality.

Since some time has passed since you last analyzed the classification of inventory parts regarding ABC, frequency and lifecycle, it is now time for the periodic review of the assortment. This exercise will show you how to use the ABC classification functionality.

Perform ABC, Frequency and Lifecycle Classification of inventory parts

  1. Open the Inventory Part Basic Data/ABC Classes tab and review the settings.
  2. Use the Aggregate Inventory Transactions per Period
  3. Use the Perform ABC, Frequency and Lifecycle Classification window to initiate the calculations. Use the options of your choice.
  4. Review the results by checking the classifications made on the individual inventory part. To review number of parts etc, use the overview.
