Defining Maintenance Programs—Exercises
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of these lessons are to learn how to
define a maintenance program.
Purpose: The purpose of this
exercise is to define the general data for a maintenance program to be used for
our Aircraft X747-900, Revision n.
Windows:
Define Maintenance Program
Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following
steps.
- Open the
Define Maintenance Program
window.
- Create new record (F5) and enter Maintenance Program 10n, Description
'Maintenance for X747-900, revision n' and Revision 1.

Save the information (F12).

Click the
Assign Parts tab and enter
Part Number X747-900 and X32NLG7001
- Save the information
(F12).
- Click the
Assign Part Revisions
tab and delete all the revisions except yours, n.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click the
Maintenance Groups tab and enter Part Number X747-900 and X32NLG7001 and Maint
Group n.
- Save the information (F12).

Click the
Access tab and enter your
access group n.
- Save the information (F12).

Populate (F2) the window and verify that you only have
access to your maintenance program (and those who haven't any access groups
defined yet).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create a new
maintenance program by copying an existing program and change the status to
Active.
Windows:
Define Maintenance Program
Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following
steps.
- Open the
Define Maintenance Program window.
- Create new record (F5) and enter Maintenance Program
20n, a suitable description and revision.
- Save the information
(F12).
- Right Click on the window header and then click
Copy Maintenance Program.
- Specify Maintenance Program 100, Revision 1 and
chose all the copy options.
- Click Finish.

Verify that all the data has been copied to your
maintenance program.

Right Click on the window header, point to Status and then click
Set Active.
- Query (F3) for all
the maintenance programs 20% and verify that you have the access to them
all.
Purpose: The purpose of this
exercise is to create a new revision of a maintenance program. The access to
this program has been changed and therefore we need to create a new revision of
the program and modify the access group.
Windows:
Define Maintenance Program
Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following
steps.
- Open the
Define Maintenance Program window.
- Find (F3) your maintenance program 20n.
- Right-click on the window header and then click
Create New Revision of Maintenance Program.
- Enter a New Revision 2 and a Journal Note.

Click Finish. A new revision of the program is
created in the Preliminary status.
- Click the
Access
tab and
enter (F5) your access group n and delete the other access group (VIM).
- Save the information
(F12).
- Right-click on the window header, point to Status and
then click Set Active.
- Verify that the old
revision of the program is set to Obsolete.
- Query (F3) for all the maintenance
programs 20%, revision 2 and verify that you only have access to your program
20n.
