Defining Fault Deferral Rules—Exercises
Basic Data Setup
Product Model Access
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to make sure that
you have the rights to enter and authorize a fault deferral.
Windows:
Operations and Fault Basic Data
- Open the Operations and Fault Basic Data
window.
- Click the
User Auth. Deferrals tab.
- Query (F3) for your User ID and verify if you have access to Product Number
7X7
and Model Number X747-900.
- If not, enter a row with these data.
- Save the information (F12).
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lessons is to learn how to
register a fault deferral.
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to register a
fault deferral code that requires deferral item list. The item to register
belongs to a category which says a standard fault deferral of 3 days or 30
Flying Hours. You will also specify the part revision of your aircraft where you
will be using this deferral.
Windows:
Deferral Definition
- Open the
Deferral Definition window.
- Create new record (F5) and specify Deferral List Code nDEF - My deferral.
Check the Requires List Item Definition check box.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the
Categories tab and enter your Deferral Category
nCAT
- My Deferral Category.
- Specify Deferral Days 3 and Deferral Value 10 FCYC.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the
Items tab and create new record (F5).
- Specify Deferral Item Code nITEM - My Deferral Item. Apply Deferral
Category Code nCAT as you will use the standard deferral limits set by
the category.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the
Revisions per Item tab and create new record (F5).
- Enter your Deferral Item Code and Part Number X747-900, Revision
n.
- Create one more record and enter your Deferral
Item Code and Part Number X32WHE7002, Revison *.
- Save the information (F12).
