Basic Data Setup

Cost Types
 

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data cost types required for the CAMRO Cost Accumulation and Pricing course. The example shows only one of the possible cost type definitions.

Windows:
Contract Management Basic Data /Cost Types

  1. Open the Cost Types tab.
  2. Create a new record (F5), and enter NEW GE as the Cost Type ID and New GE Material as the Cost Type Description.
  3. Set the MRO Cost Category to Material.
  4. Set the Life Limited to  - .
  5. Enter NEW as the Condition Code ID.
  6. Set the Ownership to Company Owned.
  7. Save the new record (F12).

Determine Cost Type

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to determine the missing cost types for the transactions created without a cost type after the missing cost type was defined in basic data.

Windows:
Complex Assembly Work Order /Transaction History

  1. Search for transactions without a cost type.
  2. Create the missing cost type like in the exercise above.
  3. Right-click anywhere in the header, and then click Determine Cost Type.
