Course Description for Manufacturing Standards

This course explains the fundamentals of the Manufacturing Standards functionality, including  Manufacturing Standards operational data needed for MRO Manufacturing. You will learn how to create and maintain basic application elements used for planning, production, and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO).

Course Length

The estimated time to complete this course is 15 hours, including 2 hours for the optional Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO).

Target Audience

This course was designed primarily for application consultants within Manufacturing and Distribution, or anyone else who is interested in a brief introduction to the basic data for manufacturing and, optionally, MRO.

Introduction

VIM Template Structure Transfer

This chapter provides an introduction to  basic principles surrounding transferring a structure from VIM for use with MRO within IFS. The chapter provides information that you need to know before transferring template structures from IFS/VIM. This chapter has the following key lesson:

This course was designed primarily for application consultants working with the IFS Applications Complex Assembly MRO functionality and end users, in particular engineers, of the IFS Applications Complex Assembly MRO functionality.

MRO Manufacturing Operational Data

This chapter provides an introduction to the process of creating MRO manufacturing operational data: disposition codes, repair codes, discrepancy codes and maintenance levels. The chapter also discusses connecting that data to other entities, in the case of disposition codes, to customers and in the case of the rest, to parts.
