Queries

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with IFS/Fixed Assets queries. The Query folder contains several functions for querying fixed-asset information. You can search all available fields and use the general search features in IFS Applications.

Balances

The Object Balances Analysis and Object Balance Analysis windows display information on balances for one or more objects at a time. They display balances from the beginning of the year to the specified year or period.

The Main Object Balances Analysis and Main Object Balance Analysis windows enable you to perform queries and view information on balances (e.g., residual values) for selected main objects or groups of main objects. Each row in the window displays information about a single depreciation method/main object. Note that multiple depreciation methods can be linked to a main object.

The Base Values Analysis window displays the user-defined base values for each object.

Transactions

The Object Transactions Analysis window displays information on one or more object transactions..

The Object Transactions per Object Analysis window enables you to perform queries and view information on object transactions for each object..

The Accounting Transactions Analysis window displays information on accounting transactions..

The Accounting Transactions per Object Analysis window enables you to perform queries and view information on accounting transactions for each object.

The Object Transactions per Depreciation Proposal window displays information on all object transactions included in a depreciation proposal.

Reports

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to get more information on the use of IFS/Fixed Assets reports.

Windows:
Reports

In all reports where method group is used in selections, the accumulated depreciation shown in the report involves  the depreciation method connected to the specified method group. If a depreciation method is missing for the specified method group, the report displays zero (0) as the accumulated depreciation balance for the object.

Object Inventory Report This report is useful when you are conducting an inventory of fixed assets. You can print the report for one or more object groups. It includes the object group, object type, status, location, and external ID.

Years Acquisition Report This report shows this year’s acquisitions, including the capitalized value and acquisitions, and depreciation for the year. For objects where the investment process started during a prior year, you can see what was capitalized up to the current year.

Years Disposal Report This report shows objects that have been scrapped or sold during the year. It includes the acquisition value, accumulated depreciation, net value, revenue, and net profit or loss.

FA Ledger Report This report supports analyses of fixed-assets accounting information. Note that this report does not consider whether FA object transactions have actually been posted to the selected period. This means that you may have created and/or authorized depreciation proposals in fixed assets accounting but not updated the information to the general ledger.

Object Report This report shows the Object ID, Description, Acquisition Date, Disposal Date, Object Type, Status, Acquisition Value and Net value of selected Object ID(s) or Object Group ID(s) for a period based on Accounting year or FA year.

Main Object Report This report shows information on main objects and connected sub objects. This information includes acquisition values, accumulated depreciation up to the prior year, depreciation for the current year, total depreciation, and net value.

Depreciation Proposal Report This report shows a depreciation proposal with Created or Posted status. This means that the report shows only proposals that have not been posted or canceled.

Object Transactions Report This report shows the object transactions for specified objects and/or object groups. You can display the information for a specified number of years and/or periods. 

General Ledger Specification Report This report is useful when you are reconciling fixed assets accounting and the general ledger. The selection criteria are based on general ledger information included in fixed assets accounting.

Fixed Assets Accounting Specification Report This report is useful for reconciling. In this report, the selection criteria are based on fixed assets information. Optionally, you can display individual general ledger transactions or the totals for selected objects. 

Depreciation Plan Report This report shows planned depreciation information for specified objects and/or object groups. You can display the information for a specified number of years and/or periods.

FA Transaction Reason Report This report shows object transactions with value type Acquisition grouped and summed by acquisition account, object group and the transaction reason type. The report can be created to include transactions with only Acquisition reason type, Disposal reason type or to include both. The report can be printed with details for each object or for the object group.

FA Object Transaction Types This report shows summarized or detailed information on object transactions grouped by transaction types. Detailed report will show the total value of transactions per each transaction type for each object and period combination. Summarized report will show the total value of all object transactions for the selected periods.

FA Object Registration Card This report shows all basic data and history information of transactions until the last day of a selected period. The report will contain information per each object including any acquisition transactions, depreciation transactions and notes connected to the object.

Note:Info Services Reports from the Navigator, you can go directly to the Order Report window in Info Services. Select the reports to print from the Report list.
