Canceling CAMRO Interim Orders -Key Exercises

Creating an CAMRO Interim Order Structure

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create the required data that will be used in the Release CAMRO Interim Order Structure exercises.

  1. Create an CAMRO Interim Order Structure.
  2. In the table below, record the interim header id and serial number used in the creation of the order structure for later reference.

    Note: It is suggested users use a serial number that they can easily identify as their own creation in later queries, such as prefixing the serial number with their initials, or some other such method.

Canceling an CAMRO Disposition Interim Order

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to introduce you to the functionality for canceling an MRO disposition interim order, and the effect on the interim orders connected to the disposition order.

Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following steps.

  1. Open the CAMRO Interim Order Structure window.

  2. Query up the interim header id recorded in the previous exercise. Observe the state of the order structure. It should be Created.

  3. Click the Tree Structure tab, then the Disassembly tab, followed by the Detail tab in the Disassembly tab. Observe the state for a number of the disassembly and disposition orders. They should all be in state Created. Do the same in the Assembly tab.

  4. Click on the Disassembly tab in the Tree Structure tab. Select any disposition order to be cancelled. Note the parent disassembly order number, as well as the assembly order number corresponding to the disassembly order.

  5. Right-click on the disposition order, then click Cancel. Click OK on the subsequent confirmation message dialog box.

  6. Click on the History tab, and review the records. There should be three records. One record should indicate that the disposition order has been canceled, with the Reason Code column having value Order Cancelled. The other two records should indicate that the parent disassembly order of the disposition order and the assembly order corresponding to the parent disassembly order have been disconnected from the disposition order. The Reason Code column for these records should have value Manual Disconnect.

  7. Click again on the Disassembly tab, then reselect the interim header id in the drop down list box of the Interim Header Id field. The disposition order which was canceled in step 5 should no longer appear in the order structure.

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to introduce you to the functionality for canceling an CAMRO disassembly interim order, and the effect on the interim orders connected to the disassembly order.

Steps: To complete this exercise, perform the following steps.

  1. Run the initial Creating an CAMRO Interim Order Structure exercise. This will create the necessary order structure.

  2. Open the CAMRO Interim Order Structure window.

  3. Query up the interim header id recorded in the step 1. Observe the state of the order structure. It should be Created.

  4. Click on the Disassembly tab in the Tree Structure tab. Select any disassembly order to be cancelled. Note the parent disassembly order number, as well as the assembly order number corresponding to the disassembly order. Also note any component disassembly or disposition orders.

  5. Click on the Assembly tab in the Tree Structure tab. For the assembly order corresponding to the disassembly order being canceled, note the parent assembly order.

  6. Right-click on the disassembly order, then click Cancel. Click OK on the subsequent confirmation message dialog box.

  7. Click on the History tab, and review the records. One record should indicate that the disassembly order has been canceled, with the Reason Code column having value Order Cancelled. Other records should indicate that component disposition orders have been cancelled as well, with the Reason Code column also having value Order Cancelled. There should also be a record to indicate that the assembly order corresponding to the canceled disassembly order has been canceled, with the Reason Code column value Order Cancelled.

  8. The remaining records should indicate that the parent disassembly order of the canceled disassembly order and the assembly order corresponding to the parent disassembly order have been disconnected from the canceled disassembly order. The Reason Code column for these records should have value Manual Disconnect.

  9. Click again on the Disassembly tab, then reselect the interim header id in the drop down list box of the Interim Header Id field. The disassembly order which was canceled in step 6, along with its component disposition orders, should no longer appear in the order structure. Click on the Assembly tab. The assembly order corresponding to the canceled disassembly order should no longer appear in the order structure.

  4. Right-click in the header section of the order structure, then click Cancel. Click OK on the subsequent confirmation message dialog box.

  5. Observe the state for a number of the disassembly, disposition and assembly orders. They should all be in state Canceled.
