Tips and Tricks for Employee Development

Below is a list of tips and tricks for the Employee Development course. Click one of the items below to see information that may be helpful to you as you take the course.

Users and Basic Data

If you are not familiar with the Racing database, it could be of interest for you to check the users and position structure in Employee and in Position Structure. Make sure that each user is the supervisor of several employees. 

You should also point out that all entered basic data need to start with the participant's initials.

Competency Gap Analysis

Following items have predefined competency values. These items are usable in the Competency Gap Analysis;

If you want to change the text size in the graphs, click the Titles button ,click Fonts tab, and change the size for e.g., Legends and Labels.

Strategic employee information

Employee Strategic Files, information for certain employees are predefined. This information can e.g., be used when demonstrating the Competency Gap Analysis.

Counseling Plans

When demonstrating the Counseling Plan window, login as Alain Prost (ALAIN). Alain has example information defined in the database. 

When you demonstrating the Employee Self Assessment window, login as Andy Jefferson (ANJE). Andy has example information defined in the database. 

Note: If you teach how to confirm the counseling plan in the Employee Development Program window, it is necessary to login as ANJE when doing the confirm action (ALAIN is superior).

Career Plan Counseling

When demonstrating the Career Plan Counseling window, login as Alain Prost (ALAIN) and select the employee Andy Jefferson (2002). Andy has example information defined in the database.
