Succession Plans
- Open Career Planning Periods and populate the window.
- Define a two-year career-planning period, starting with your initials, e.g.,
XX 2002-2003.
- Save the information.
- Open
Career Potentiality Levels and populate
the window.
- View the information. This ranking system is used to assess the employee's
career potentiality in the
Career Plan
Counseling window.
- Right-click and check the ranking. 1 is the lowest level.
- Open Performance Appraisal
Indicator and
populate the window.
- View the information. This ranking system is used to assess the employee's job
performance in the
Career Performance Appraisal History
window.
Note: If the performance appraisal index average corresponds to the minimum value
of 2 and maximum value of 3, the Maximum checkbox can be selected to show that if the employee gets the performance score 2 in
Career Performance Appraisal History, this will result in a lower
performance appraisal index, e.g., Poor rather than Average.
- Open Career Advancement Types and populate the
window.
- View the information. This window is used to specify career advancement
types.
- Open Identify Career Advancement Levels and populate the
window.
- View the information. This is a matrix showing the result when combining
career potentiality level (e.g., Promote within 1 year) and performance
appraisal indicator (e.g., Average).
Note: This matrix is showing an employee's career advancement level
when combining his/her career potentiality and job performance.
- Open
Normal Career Path and populate the window.
- Select job ID PRODSPV (your Job ID) and enter an optional career step for an
Production Supervisor, using the List of Values.
- Save the information.
- Open Succession Plans and populate the
window.
- Click New and select job PRODSPV (your Job ID), using the List of Values.
- Save the information.
