Below, is a list of tips and tricks for the Demand Planning course. Click one of the items below to see information that may be helpful to you as you take the course.
Instead of using the menu selections, you can perform many of the most common actions using the Action buttons in the Demand Planning client header.
If you want to adjust parameters for an entire group, you can use the copy down function in the Demand Planning client header. Group parts and make your changes at the group level. Then click the Copy Forecast Parameter to Group Members button, and a number of options will appear. You can specify whether the changes should be copied to the standard field or only to used fields.
If you want to copy periodic data elements from one column to another, i.e., adjusted forecast to budget, this can this be performed on the Forecast Client/Forecast Table tab. Select the periods that you want to copy, right-click, and click Copy. Then select the fields to which you to copy the data, right-click, and click Paste.
If you have changed the adjusted forecast and wish to alter your changes, there is an easy way to do so. Instead of adjusting each and every periodic data element go the Part menu and you will find a few options that enable you to adjust the forecast curve automatically.
