Course Description for Dispatch Asset and Close Maintenance Visit

This course gives the student an understanding of the work involved in completing and concluding a maintenance visit. The student will also be introduced to the history data that is retained in IFS/Vehicle Information Management.

This course was designed primarily for operation and maintenance managers who are responsible for operational planning and execution of maintenance program and modifications on serialized vehicles. Maintenance personnel executing jobs may find the predefined queries and the history retained in IFS/VIM to be of great value and help when executing daily work.

Complete Maintenance Visit

This chapter is where you learn how to complete a maintenance visit. You will learn how to set a maintenance order to the Work Done status and sign off the maintenance order and the respective tasks.

Prerequisites

Before taking the lessons in this chapter, you should have completed the Prepare Maintenance Visit course.

Conclude Maintenance Visit

This chapter is where you learn how to conclude a maintenance visit by finishing the maintenance order once the work is completed. You will also be introduced to the functionality for generating part certificates for the serials on a maintenance order.
