Dispatch Asset and Close Maintenance Visit—Basic Data and Requirements Exercise
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to
set up the basic data that will be used when signing off maintenance tasks and
maintenance orders. Sign off requirements for maintenance tasks are predefined
on the task code (i.e., maintenance code, modification code, condition limit,
fault code and life limit) of the maintenance task. Sign off requirements for
maintenance orders are predefined on the product model that is connected to the
serial on the maintenance order. Note: It is also possible to manually
define the sign off requirements for a maintenance order.
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to
register sign off requirements for a maintenance code.
Windows:
Instructions per Maintenance Code
- Query (F3) for the necessary part revision and maintenance code.
- Click the Sign Off Req. tab and
create a new record (F5).
- Select a valid sign off requirement type in the Sign Off Requirement Type field. Valid values are
Inspector and
Counter Inspector.
- In the License Name field, enter a license,
if necessary. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- In the Sign Off Description field, enter
information of the work to be done before sign off is performed, if
necessary.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to
register sign off requirements for a modification code.
Windows:
Modification Details
- Query (F3) for the necessary
modification revision.
- Click the Instructions tab.
- Select the necessary execution type from the
Mod Execution Type list.
- Click the Sign Off Req. tab and
create a new record (F5).
- Select a valid sign off requirement type in the
Sign Off Requirement Type field. Valid values are Inspector and
Counter Inspector.
- In the License Name field, enter a license,
if necessary. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- In the Sign Off Description field, enter
information of the work to be done before sign off is performed, if
necessary.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to
register sign off requirements for a condition limit.
Window:
Condition Monitoring Program
- Query (F3) for the necessary part
revision.
- Click the Instructions tab.
- Select the necessary condition category from the
Condition Category list.
- Click the Sign Off Req. tab and
create a new record (F5).
- Select a valid sign off requirement type in the Sign Off Requirement Type field. Valid values are
Inspector and
Counter Inspector.
- In the License Name field, enter a license,
if necessary. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- In the Sign Off Description field, enter
information of the work to be done before sign off is performed, if
necessary.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to
register sign off requirements for a fault code.
Windows:
Instructions per Fault Functions
- Query (F3) for the necessary
fault function.
- Click the Sign Off Req. tab and
create a new record (F5).
- Select a valid sign off requirement type in the Sign Off Requirement Type field. Valid values are
Inspector and
Counter Inspector.
- In the License Name field, enter a license,
if necessary. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- In the Sign Off Description field, enter
information of the work to be done before sign off is performed, if
necessary.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to
register sign off requirements for a life limit.
Windows:
Serial Part Revision
- Query (F3) for the necessary part
revision.
- Click the Life Limit tab.
- If you need to retrieve all the stress rating
values for the selected part revision, right-click, and then click Get
Stress Ratings.
- In the Stress Ratings table select the
relevant stress rating record, and then click the Sign Off Req.
tab.
- Create a new record (F5).
- Select a valid sign off requirement type in the Sign Off Requirement Type field. Valid values are
Inspector and
Counter Inspector.
- In the License Name field, enter a license,
if necessary. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- In the Sign Off Description field, enter
information of the work to be done before sign off is performed, if
necessary.
- Save the information (F12).
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to learn how to
register sign off requirements per product model.
Windows:
Maintenance Task Basic Data
- Click the Sign Off Req. per Product Model
tab.
- Populate (F2) or query (F3) for the
necessary product and model.
- Create a new
record (F5) in the table of the window.
- Specify the sign off requirement type. Valid values are
Release to
Service and Counter Release to Service.
- If needed, specify a license for the person signing
off the maintenance order connected to this product model. Use the List of
Values to select a valid value.
- In the Sign Off Description field, enter a description of the work to be done
prior to signing off. You do not have to enter a value in this field.
- Save the information (F12).
