Users

There are a number of predefined User IDs for the IFS/Vehicle Information Management (IFS/VIM) courses. This makes it easier for the teacher as he/she does not have to define users when starting a training course. Also note that these users have been set up properly with company, site, employee, etc.

User ID Role Student Number Company Site

Exercise Data Identifiers and Numbering

In the exercises you will see that most of the data are specified with prefix "n", "X" or a combination of these.
Examples: nX747-900 (Part Number), X10000 (Serial Number) and nAC (Maintenance Group).

The use of prefixes has several advantages:

Data Specification Teacher Student number "n"
Vehicle Part No X747-900 nX747-900
Revision * *
Top Part S/N X10000 nX20000
Structure Part S/N X19999 nX39999
