Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of these lessons are to
set the maximum number of records for export in a single round trip and export the
outbound integration package, viewing the progresses of export and effect on
history as this action/activity is being performed.

- Set an export job as the current job.

On the Tools menu, click Options.

In the
Max field of the Max Records tab select a
maximum of 10 export records per round trip.
- Now in the Tasks group of windows, click on the
Outbound
Integration Package-Export window, and click Start to begin
exporting business objects.
Note: Observe the time period between the Start of Database
Serialization/Export to the Finish of Database Serialization/Export.
- In the Max field, set the maximum number of records for export
per round trip as 1000.
Note: Observe the time period between the Start of Database
Serialization/Export to the Finish of Database Serialization/Export. This time
can be noted to be faster than the resulting time in part 3.
- Select an export job as the current job.
- On the Outbound Integration
Package-Export window click Start.
- Set the maximum number of records to be exported at a time to be 1 and
click OK in the Options dialog box.
- Observe the progress of export of each business object on the Current
business object progress bar in the Outbound Integration Package-Export
window.
- At the same time observe the progress of the entire export process on
the Overall Progress bar.
- Navigate back to the Manage Job window for the Current Job
by clicking on the View Details link in the Current Job
window. Now view the new entry of this export action in the job by clicking
on the History tab.
