Monitor Retention on Sub Contract

Explanation

This activity is used to monitor retentions on a sub contract. It is important to keep track of all the retentions accumulated on a sub contract. The interim retention will normally be released at defined milestones throughout the contract execution, while the final retention is typically released at a later point in time. To support the process of releasing retention dates in order to release both interim and final retentions, retention dates can be defined. The purpose of these dates is to assist you in releasing the retention when the dates are reached.

Since the interim retention is, to some extent, automatically released when creating and submitting applications, the main use for this window is to monitor when to release the final retention.
