Copy Sub Contract
Explanation
This activity is used to copy specific information from one sub contract to
another, or to create a new sub contract by copying specific data from an
existing sub contract.
Prerequisites
A sub contract and its revision must exist.
System Effects
Selected data is copied from one sub contract revision to another, or a new
sub contract is created by copying selected data from a sub contract and its
revision.

Procedure
Common steps:
- Open the
Sub Contract window or the
Sub Contracts window.
- Query (F3) for the necessary sub contract.
- Right-click anywhere in the header, and then click Copy Contract.
The Copy Sub Contract dialog box opens.
- The sub contract number and active revision is displayed automatically
in the From Sub Contract area. Note: If an active revision
does not exist, the Contract Rev field will not contain any value.
Use the following procedure to create a new sub contract:
- Select the New Contract check box.
- In the Contract No field (in the To Sub Contract area),
enter the new sub contract number. If a value in this field is not entered
upon saving, the system will automatically generate a unique sub contract
number.
- In the Copy area, select the check boxes that denote the data you
want copied to the new contract.
- Click OK.
Use the following procedure to copy data to an existing sub contract:
- In the Contract No field (in the To Sub Contract area),
enter the sub contract to which data is to be copied. Click List to
select a valid value.
- In the Contract Rev field, select the revision of the sub
contract. Click List to select a valid value.
- In the Copy area, select the check boxes that denote the data you
want copied.
- Click OK.
