Report Picking Upon Reservation
Explanation
This activity is used to report picking of stocks at
the time of manual reservation or after an automatic
reservation is performed. It can be performed if stocks have been
physically picked before being reserved. This is especially useful when handling
serial parts as it is
not always possible to determine exactly which serial numbers
will be used to fulfill a particular order. It also serves as a shortcut to
report picking in situations where it is not necessary to create a pick list.
Prerequisites
- Stocks must have been reserved for the
customer order line in question.
- If the reserved part refers to a serial handled part, the In
Inventory checkbox must be selected in the
Part/General tab.
- When a customer order line is connected to a
shipment it is only possible to do this activity in the Manual
Reservations for Customer Order Lines window. In this window you pick report
for a specific shipment while in the other windows it will be to
uncontrolled since the quantity can be connected to different shipments.
System Effects
- The status of the customer order line changes to
Picked.
- The line will not be automatically delivered even
if the order type is set to do so. You have to handle the delivery of the
line manually.
