Enter SSCC Basic Data

Explanation

This activity is used to enter the company prefix for the Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC). It is also possible to enter the extension digits for a specific handling unit. The SSCC for handling units is created in the Shipment/Handling Unit Structure tab.

Prerequisites

A handling unit must exist.

System Effects

A new SSCC company prefix, assigned to the company, is created.

Procedure

1. Open the SSCC Basic Data window and create a new record in the header.
2. Enter the company prefix, start value, end value and the next value.
3. Save your changes.
4. To specify an extension digit for a specific handling unit, create a record in the table section.
5. Enter the handling unit ID and the extension digit.
6. Save your changes.
