Enter New Total Operational Values

Explanation

This activity is used to enter any operational values that have previously been performed on a serial structure but not yet been logged in the system. It is possible not only to enter new values for the structure as a whole, but also give individual nodes or branches in the serial structure other values than the top, in the case where parts of the structure have a differing history from the configurations they are currently mounted into.

To adjust recently added values, ensure that the recorded date is exactly the same as for the record(s) you want to update. Then in the Add On Value field for a record, enter the difference between the earlier entered value and the correct value, and save. The value entered in the Add On Value field will then be added to the value already in history.

Note that if a serial is registered in the application on a later date than the last performed archiving, it will be possible to enter loggings prior to the archiving date from the Component Life/Operational Log tab. This implies that no archiving has been performed after the serial was created.

Procedure

  1. Open the Component Life window, and query for a serial structure.
  2. In the Component Life/Operational Log tab, observe the operational parameters that are automatically populated. If the Spread On Branch check box is selected, operational parameters valid for all serials in the structure will be displayed.
  3. For the operational parameter to be logged, enter the operational value either as an add-on value or new total value.
  4. Repeat step 3 for other operational parameters to be logged.
