Serial Transportation Route

Transport Route

When you create a transportation route from an existing standard transportation route, the description is automatically retrieved, but the start date and time must be specified. When you save the route, all stages are retrieved from the standard transportation route, and departure and arrival times are calculated based on the specified date and time. The example below shows generated transportation routes with different start times.

The purpose of a transportation route is normally to move a specific serial from one location to another in order to perform maintenance.

To update a serial’s transportation route, you select the stage that is completed. The system automatically sets the serial’s location to the next location on the route. The stages must be carried out in the same order as the sequence numbers. When a route is completed, history is generated.

Note: A serial cannot have more than one active transportation route at a time.

You cannot delete active or completed stages on a route unless the whole route is completed.
