Recalculate Post Maintenance Tasks

Explanation

This activity is used to recalculate the due date for post maintenance check tasks.

If a post maintenance check task has been completed earlier than the calculated due value or due date, the calculation of the next due value or date will be adjusted according to this. Note that no adjustment will be done if a post maintenance check task is performed too late.

Prerequisites

• A modification or a fault must exist and active post maintenance check definitions connected to it.
• The modification or fault must have been completed and the serial must not have reached the limit that triggers the post maintenance check.
• Post maintenance tasks that are in a planning stage (i.e., in the Planned in Scope, Incomplete or Under Preparation status) must be connected to a maintenance order that is not yet released.

System Effects

• The due date of the post maintenance check task can be modified.
• A pending task is created if the due date is within the forewarning limit.
• The recalculation for post maintenance tasks will handle tasks that are included on maintenance orders not yet released.

Procedure

1. Open the Serial Maintenance window.
2. Query (F3) for the serial for which you want to recalculate post maintenance tasks.
3. Right-click anywhere in the header of the window and then click Perform Due Calculation to open the Perform Due Calculation dialog box.
4. Select the Post Maintenance Check check box.
5. If you want to perform the due calculations for all serials in the serial structure, select the Calculate Entire Structure check box.
6. To perform the due calculations as a background job, select the Run in Background check box.
7. Click OK.
