Perform Due Calculation for Interval Maintenance Tasks

Explanation

This activity is used to perform the due calculation for the interval maintenance of a given serial. The calculation will be done for the serial, based on the registered average operational value per month and the defined maintenance plan. In addition, the due calculation will create a maintenance task when it has reached the days of the forewarning period. The due calculation for a serial will only be done for a maintenance plan connected to an active maintenance program. Therefore, a maintenance program that has an Active status must be connected to the serial before the task calculation can take place. For a calendar based maintenance plan, where no average operational values exist for the primary operational based parameter, there will under certain circumstances only be calculated one record for recurring items.

Apart from manually performing the due calculation for a serial (as described in this activity), scheduled tasks exist to automatically calculate due dates for all interval based maintenance. The Maintenance Task Calculation scheduled task will be used to calculate the due date for maintenance tasks. For more information on the scheduled tasks, refer to the activity Adjust and Verify Background Job for Due Calculations for Interval Based Maintenance.
