Create and Connect Material Requisition

Explanation

This activity is used to create a material requisition for a site and an internal customer. The material requisition is then connected to the site as the permanent material requisition. Only one permanent material requisition can exist for each site. The order class and number of the material requisition are generated automatically. When a task is executed as a simplified work order, the permanent material requisition of the site is checked for reserved material and this material is issued to the work order.

Prerequisites

• Sites must have been defined.
• Internal customers must have been defined.

System Effects

• A material requisition is created for a site and an internal customer. 
• The material requisition is connected to the site as the permanent material requisition.

Procedure

Follow this procedure to create a material requisition for a site and an internal customer: 

1. Open the Maintenance Task Basic Data window and click the Permanent Matr. Req. tab.
2. Right-click anywhere in the table, and then click Create and Connect Requisition. The Create and Connect Requisition dialog box opens.
3. In the Site field, enter the site for which the material requisition is to be created and connected as the permanent material requisition. Click List to select a valid value.
4. Enter the internal customer for which the material requisition is to be created in the Int Customer field. Click List to select a valid value.
5. Click OK.
